Provincial Nomination Programs

Provincial nominations presents a great pathway to Canadian permanent residency. Every respective province and territories have their own unique programs; except Quebec and Nunavut. There are two types of Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applications: Express Entry or Non-Express Entry.

Provincial Nomination (Express Entry):

To apply under the Express Entry PNP, the applicant must:

Be eligible in one of the three Federal economic program: the Federal Skilled Worker Class Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or the Federal Skilled Trades Class;
Create an Express Entry profile and choose in which province or territory they intend to immigrate to; and
If invited for nomination by a province or territory, submit the required documents to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) office that extended the invitation.

After the PNP application has been checked and accepted, the applicant will receive a nomination certificate. The nomination certificate gives an additional 600 points under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which increases the applicants points and they receive an invitation to apply.

Provincial Nomination (Non-Express Entry):

To apply under the Non Express Entry PNP, the applicant must:

First apply to one of the provinces or territories programs for a Nomination Certificate;
Once nominated by a province or territory, submit application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (Immigration Canada) to become a permanent resident.

The AINP consists of the following immigration streams:

British Columbia

The BC PNP accepts applications under two main immigration streams:

Skills Immigration (including Express Entry British Columbia)

Skilled Worker Category
Health Care Professional Category.
International Graduate Category
International Post-Graduate Category
Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker Category

Entrepreneur Immigration

Entrepreneur Category
Strategic Projects Category

Manitoba

The MPNP admits applications under the following streams:

Skilled Worker Immigration Stream – including those in Manitoba and Overseas

Morden Community Driven Immigration Initiative – through the MPNP

New Brunswick

The NBPNP admits applications under the following immigration categories:
