IEC Young Professionals and Co-ops

Many LMIA exemption programs require that there be a specific organization in Canada who provides the offer of employment, such as the following:

Young Professionals:

This program requires the participant to have a job offer under (NOC) skill level type O, A or B. This opportunity lets them gain valuable international experience by working for a Canadian employer.

International Co-op:

This program is an opportunity for students enrolled at a post-secondary education in their county of citizenship to acquire work experience with a Canadian employer as part of their studies.  They arrange co-op placements with a Canadian employer before applying under this category.
